Rhys Owen is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLP in London. He brings more than 13 years of experience in private equity and funds taxation.

Mr. Owen’s notable assignments include structuring some of the largest private equity and infrastructure funds in Europe, as well as working on high profile fund raises across the private credit, real estate and venture capital markets.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Owen spent four years with EY in London, where he most recently served as Partner. Previously, he held a similar role at KPMG. Mr. Owen led the accounts for a number of large European and U.S. asset managers and advised on fund launches, carried interest planning and continuation funds for a range of different clients.

Additionally, Mr. Owen has advised on a number of credit funds in relation to the restricting and/or leveraging of their facilities across Irish, Luxembourg and U.S.-based structured.

Mr. Owen earned a master’s degree in law from Kings College London. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, a Chartered Tax Advisor and was called to the Bar in London in 2009.
