With more than 25 years of public sector experience, Ms. Leveton has worked to develop outcome-oriented service models for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities; improve and implement quality assurance systems; build and manage internal and external stakeholder relations; and support inter-agency government coordination to improve customer experiences and outcomes.
Ms. Leveton’s notable assignments include supporting developmental disability systems transformation and the recovery of an employment department after the pandemics. Most recently, she supported the stand-up of a new Department of Early Learning and Care. Ms. Leveton has worked with clients across the public sector, including Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports, self-sufficiency programs, employment and state-operated facilities.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Leveton spent seven years with the D.C. Department of Disability Services, serving most recently as Deputy Director for the Quality Assurance and Performance Management Administration, supporting the Developmental Disabilities and Rehabilitation Services Administrations. She provided oversight and assessment of the agency and its system of care, ensuring compliance with all local and federal rules and regulations through a comprehensive quality assurance and improvement system.
Additionally, Ms. Leveton led DDA’s system transformation to achieve full compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid HCBS Settings Rule. The Case for Inclusion Report finds D.C. to be the number one most improved state.
Ms. Leveton earned a bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) from Binghamton University and a J.D. from Georgetown University (honors). She is a graduate of the University of Delaware Leadership Institute in Developmental Disabilities; a certified Charting the Lifecourse coach, presenter and ambassador; PROSCI change manager; and was recognized as a Charting the Lifecourse Champion for Innovation in Policy and Systems Transformation.
