Garrett Sussman is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Valuation Services practice in New York. He brings 18 years of experience in financial and valuation services. His primary areas of concentration include alternative investment valuation and fund portfolio valuation for investor and financial reporting purposes (ASC 820) and tax reporting purposes.

Mr. Sussman has worked with clients across a range of industries, including software, biotechnology and business and consumer services.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sussman spent two years with the Valuation & Capital Markets Analysis practice at BDO, where he most recently served as a Senior Manager. His responsibilities included overseeing valuations for portfolio clients and leading the review of valuations to complete annual audits for large and mid-sized fund related clients.

Previously, Mr. Sussman spent five years with the Economic and Valuation Services practice at KPMG in a managerial capacity within the alternative investments group in New York. In addition to these roles, Mr. Sussman has prior experience in equity research and private equity.

Mr. Sussman earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.  He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of New York.
