Eric Renner

Mr. Renner brings a wide range of domestic and cross-border experience, including due diligence reviews for buy- and sell-side stock and asset transactions, acquisition and disposition structuring, and cash tax modeling. He has assisted clients with reorganizations, corporate spin-offs, separations and divestitures, including addressing stock basis, earnings and profits, utilization of tax attributes, cash tax rate optimization and other related issues.
Mr. Renner has worked with clients across various industries, including consumer products, manufacturing, construction, technology, energy, healthcare, and financial services. He has significant experience with tax planning for start-up and rapidly growing businesses, including IP planning, global expansion, tax accounting methods and periods, and tax optimization of global supply chains. He also has experience with tax attribute planning in the context of M&A transactions and bankruptcy/restructuring situations.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Renner spent 17 years with PwC in Dallas, serving most recently as M&A Tax Managing Director and focusing on mid- and large-cap private equity and strategic investors.
Mr. Renner earned a BBA and a master’s degree in professional accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. He holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Texas and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. Mr. Renner serves on the board of directors for the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas.
