Mr. Bergamo’s expertise extends to driving EBITDA and cash flow improvements within the energy sector. Notably, he possesses a deep understanding of clean energy project execution and structural right-sizing. Collaborating closely with management teams in the energy sector, Mr. Bergamo is known for successfully implementing transformative programs that accelerate the delivery of working capital and EBITDA improvements.
Most recently, Mr. Bergamo played a pivotal role in the transformation of an independent downstream company, strategically segregating the renewables business from the fossil fuel operations. This move aimed to optimize the value of renewable credit opportunities. His responsibilities included overseeing the company-wide effort and contributing to the development of legal entity structuring, encompassing intercompany agreements and commercial arrangements.
Mr. Bergamo has also led a comprehensive cost takeout assessment for a global offshore drilling contractor. In this capacity, his team successfully identified $200 million in savings across labor and non-labor general and administrative and operational expenditure categories. He played a key role in prioritizing initiatives for the executive team.
Additionally, Mr. Bergamo has served as an Interim Vice President of Finance for an industrial services company. There, he managed a dedicated team responsible for executing weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the Chief Executive Officer and board of directors. His contributions extended to developing financial models and presentations for institutional partners, as well as spearheading global cost-cutting initiatives with ongoing tracking mechanisms.
Mr. Bergamo earned a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and a certificate in leadership study from Texas A&M University.
