Dave Giles

Most recently, Mr. Giles led a global manufacturing strategy project for an automotive Tier 1 supplier that will be impacted by the acceleration of vehicle electrification. This involved developing a 10-year market outlook and multiple future manufacturing footprint scenarios, including site consolidation and shifting operations to maximize profits over the next decade.
Mr. Giles’ other notable assignments include evaluating the North American manufacturing footprint for a medical device manufacturer by conducting comprehensive site visits; modeling alternate financial scenarios; and developing detailed plans to consolidate operations and shift to lower cost regions to reduce overall manufacturing costs. He also led multiple initiatives to assess production readiness and build critical operational capabilities for a private space venture. This included the coordination of all functions to address issues in organizational structure, engineering and manufacturing, supply base development and information technology systems.
Additionally, Mr. Giles led a global teardown and benchmarking engagement for an automotive original equipment manufacturer that required the systematic teardown of 30+ vehicles and detailed evaluation of best design and cost solutions across 100+ automotive subsystems. The project identified over $1 billion in annual material and labor cost savings. Furthermore, Mr. Giles streamlined the prototype process for an auto seating supplier, reducing factory labor and material costs for two major military aircraft platforms and developing a comprehensive cost transformation program for an aerospace and defense company.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Giles served as Senior Principal with Kearney Public Sector and Defense Services. He has held executive leadership roles at Blue Origin and B/E Aerospace and began his career in materials engineering and product development with Detroit Diesel Corporation.
Mr. Giles earned a bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
