Nick Jarman is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Denver. He specializes in environmental, social and governance strategy, operations and governance. His primary areas of concentration are decarbonization and climate risk analysis.

With more than 10 years of experience in sustainability and social impact, Mr. Jarman is focused on the nexus of sustainability and finance, with a passion to change the way companies and investors collaborate to achieve better outcomes for all stakeholders.

Mr. Jarman is a subject-matter expert in decarbonization and brings experience in conducting and executing net-zero strategies, roadmaps and emissions reduction, TCFD climate risk assessments and quantitative scenario analysis, which connect climate impacts to business operations and the financial statements.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Jarman spent five years with Ernst & Young in their Climate Change and Sustainability Practice, where he served as a Manager of sustainability advisory projects. Most recently, he provided an ESG managed service for a global steel producer, which included decarbonization and commercial strategy development, data governance and assurance, reporting disclosures and supply chain engagement. The company subsequently received significant investor rating upgrades. He also brings experience with large international funds, having previously developed the social impact strategy for the multi-billion foundation of an Asian Sovereign Wealth Fund.

Additionally, Mr. Jarman served as a capital raise project manager for one of Australia’s leading impact investments, which raised over $30 million of equity from philanthropic, sophisticated and institutional investors. He also brings experience sourcing deal flow for a Melbourne-based angel investment fund, where he was evaluating 40+ deals a month.

Mr. Jarman earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and history and a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a Sustainability Excellence Associate with the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and a CFA Level 3 Candidate.
