The Future of Travel Nursing – Podcast Series
The onset of the pandemic upended healthcare delivery. The urgency of the situation forced organizations to pivot and adjust to meet the needs of the patients in their communities. While travel nurses have long and often been an integral part of healthcare delivery, their use and need was brought to the forefront by the increased COVID demand for care. Many organizations relied heavily on travel nurses in the height of the pandemic and subsequent surges, and now as the pandemic pressures have eased, some organizations have no plans to use travel nurses.
The travel nursing industry has its own challenges, including, union pressures, wage disparity, cultural integration and staffing pressures. This podcast series sits down with leading healthcare experts from across the industry including providers, travel nurse agency leaders, and an Economist to share perspectives on the future of travel nursing.
