Michal Kapela

Mr. Kapela has worked with clients across a range of industries, including consumer goods and retail, food and beverage, e-commerce, software and industrial goods. He has led several large, complex, international transactions across Europe, the U.S., Latin America and China.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kapela spent eight years with KPMG Switzerland’s Transaction Services department, serving most recently as Director. He supported corporate and private equity clients in acquisitions and disposals, including vendor assistance assignments. Mr. Kapela led and managed complex international deals for KPMG’s largest corporate clients, including multibillion-dollar carve-out transactions exceeding an aggregate deal value of 25 billion euros, covering multiple jurisdictions. He acted as the interface with senior executives of clients and target companies and managed and coordinated engagement teams, client needs and other diligence teams, including tax, legal, human resources, information technology, pre-deal separation and integration and third-party providers.
Previously, Mr. Kapela served as Manager with Deloitte’s Transaction Services department in Warsaw, primarily advising private equity clients on buy- and sell-side transactions. Following a transaction for a private equity fund, he moved on secondment to the portfolio company to lead the Controlling and Budgeting department of Iglotex, a producer and distributor of frozen food. He started his career as an auditor with Rödl & Partner in Warsaw.
Mr. Kapela earned an MBA from University Greifswald in Germany. A Polish national, Mr. Kapela is fluent in English, German and Polish and proficient in French.
