Mark Stevenson

With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Stevenson has worked across a wide range of industries and brings expertise in operational turnarounds, independent business reviews, contingency planning and formal insolvencies.
Most recently, Mr. Stevenson has been working with corporates, their lenders and legal advisers in the development of contingency plans involving insolvency processes, often to effect non-consensual debt for equity swaps as part of financial restructurings. He led the work-stream to document Deeds of Creditor Arrangement to implement the debt for equity swap of the operating companies of the NMC Group – the largest recent global restructuring.
Additionally, Mr. Stevenson has led the day-to-day planning for successfully implemented Company Voluntary Arrangements, including Travelodge, Toys “R” Us, Homebase, All Saints, Pizza Hut and LK Bennett. He has advised lenders on a number of other successfully implemented CVA processes, performed CVA feasibility studies on a number of ongoing restructuring situations and advised a range of companies on consensual landlord negotiations.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Stevenson served as the Chief Operating Officer of KPMG’s U.K. Restructuring practice.
Mr. Stevenson earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Durham University. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
