Samantha Kast is a Senior Director of Operations with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement practice in Houston. Along with serving as Chief of Staff to Mike Davidson, she leads and coordinates the practice’s essential day-to-day operations, driving strategic plans to ensure all business functions are efficient, value-added and scalable.

Ms. Kast has significant experience in process improvement and design, operations, project management, change management, and strategic sourcing for clients across various industries.

Previously at A&M, Ms. Kast led Financial Planning & Analysis for the legacy West region, managing full-year budget development, operational analysis, and compensation studies while supporting the performance management and recruiting processes. Ms. Kast also co-led the development of internal reporting dashboards within CPI while partnering with business units outside CPI to stand up a firm-wide data warehouse.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Kast worked for a privately owned consulting firm in Houston. Her project experience includes developing and implementing business process improvement and design plans, operational KPI reports, go-to-market strategies, and strategic sourcing.

Previously, Ms. Kast worked in the maritime industry for APM Terminals, a global container port operator, where she focused on software implementation, commercial contracts, client services and operational analysis.

Ms. Kast earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies and French from Elon University and an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
