As the ransomware epidemic continues to evolve, it is increasingly important for companies to promote cyber resiliency practices so they can respond more effectively and minimize business disruption in the event of a breach or attack. Cyber risk is specifically heightened during the holiday season as malicious cyber actors regularly take advantage of weekends or holidays to initiate their attacks. On November 22, 2021, the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) jointly issued an alert for companies to be aware of the elevated threat with the 2021 holidays around the corner and to take steps to mitigate risks of cyber vulnerabilities.
