Mr. Chung has worked across a wide range of industries, including consumer electronics, IT, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, platform, engineering, procurement and construction, automotive and petrochemicals. His recent notable engagements include serving as interim Chief Executive Officer of a German multinational automotive parts manufacturer, where he handled a company-wide restructuring and special situation management.

Additionally, Mr. Chung served as interim Chief Strategy Officer (CSO, de facto CEO) of a private equity-owned FMCG company, where he was responsible for a group-wide transformation in conjunction with post-acquisition integration work; as the Korean receiver for a U.S. fast-fashion company, handling debt restructuring and creditor negotiations; as the engagement leader at a PE-owned garment manufacturer, spearheading an operational and financial restructuring; and as the lead restructuring advisor in the local market for a global co-working and office solutions provider, championing real estate portfolio restructuring and stakeholder negotiations. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Chung spent more than two years with BRV Capital Management, a private equity arm of BlueRun Ventures in Menlo Park. Before that, he spent almost four years with Samsung SDS, Korea’s largest IT services affiliate of the Samsung Group, working directly with top management. 

Furthermore, Mr. Chung brings nearly seven years of experience with LG Electronics, the Korean consumer electronics giant. There, he was part of strategic and operational initiatives, including deal executions, post-merger integrations, strategy and corporate development.

Mr. Chung earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from Sogang University in Seoul. He served in the Korean Navy as an interpretation officer. A Korean national, Mr. Chung is fluent in Korean and English.
