As a trusted advisor to worldwide financial institutions, Mr. López-Rubio partners with technological top management to define, build and execute IT and security strategy that aligns customer needs with leading edge technologies and methodologies. He is known for his understanding of how digital technologies bring new opportunities and for his deep specialization in cybersecurity matters. Mr. López-Rubio has worked with clients across a range of industries, including financial, telecom and energy. 

Mr. López-Rubio also has extensive experience as a Principal Architect for consulting companies, software vendors and financial Institutions. He teaches at IE, EAE and other business schools, teaching blockchain and advanced analytics. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. López-Rubio spent fouryears with EY Technology Consulting, serving most recently as Director of Technology Transformation, Spain, where he advised customers on the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to increase IT platform performance and reliability and improve efficiency and lower costs. Mr. López-Rubio also worked on cybersecurity, advising customers to cyber risk mitigation from an architectural point of view and focusing on cloud security, SecDevOps, apification and blockchain to bring security to the new digital paradigms. 

Mr. López-Rubio earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Granada, a master’s degree in applied maths and decision-making theories from University Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid and a master’s degree in corporate security from Instituto Universitario General Gutierrez Mellado. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
