Andrew Orr is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Portfolio Advisory in London. He brings more than 25 years of experience advising financial institutions and investors on loan portfolio transactions.
Mr. Orr has advised on loan portfolio and structured transactions across most European, Asian, Middle Eastern and Australasian countries. He has been instrumental in developing new loan markets and has advised on product types across the performance spectrum, including commercial real estate, residential mortgages, asset finance, infrastructure, renewables, small and medium enterprises, corporate, aviation, shipping and consumer loans.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Orr was Global Transaction Lead for the Loan Portfolio Group at a Big Four Advisory firm. Previously, he worked at a Multi Strategy Fund and an European Financial Institution, focusing on acquiring distressed loan portfolios in Asia and Europe, respectively.
Mr. Orr earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Technology in Sydney. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accounts in Australia.
