She specializes in providing financial, operational improvement, and turnaround services in the education sector. She also has deep expertise in leading assignments involving forensic accounting investigations and complex financial disputes.`

Ms. Gardiner’s notable assignments include performing a large-scale forensic accounting investigation on behalf of the estate of Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc and detailed financial analysis of real estate and intellectual property transactions on behalf of the financial examiner of one of the world’s largest casino entertainment companies. She has also led a number of performance audits on behalf of school systems related to testing, graduation, grading, and attendance irregularities.

Most recently, Ms. Gardiner served in a CFO advisory role where she helped a large educational organization navigate significant financial losses incurred due to the economic impact of COVID-19. She supported the organization in developing its FY21 budget, identifying revenue mitigation and cost saving opportunities, and identifying opportunities for liquidity preservation while ensuring it maintained the liquidity rations required by its lenders. Ms. Gardiner has worked with clients across various industries, including education, government/public sector, non-profit, telecommunications, hospitality, financial services, auto manufacturing and dealerships, real estate, and insurance.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Gardiner was a Consultant with the CapAnalysis Group of Howrey, LLP. She also served as a senior accountant/assistant controller there, overseeing the firm’s internal financial reporting. Previously, she worked with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP where she specialized in transaction due diligence and performed financial audits for clients across various industries.

Ms. Gardiner earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Howard University. She is a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Gardiner serves as Treasurer on the Board of a DC-based non-profit that helps justice-involved individuals successfully connect to family, community, and resources.
