Wayne Brown

Mr. Brown’s notable recent engagements include investigating and rectifying the under-performance of a global bank’s credit operations business model; leading a strategic programme to design, partner, and implement a new digital personal loan at a UK bank; and leading a programme to improve the remediation business model for packaged bank accounts at a UK bank. He also created and delivered a ‘process factory’ improvement approach to improve key processes at a UK bank; led an operations improvement diagnostic for a client onboarding process at a payments provider; and mapped key mortgage processes at a UK bank to identify risks and control gaps.
In the digital field, Mr. Brown has supported the delivery of a new online customer journey for a global bank in commercial servicing; led a digital operations improvement diagnostic for artificial intelligence, digital deployment, and ecosystem opportunities at a global payments provider; and assisted a global bank’s fintech incubation programme to rapidly scale up core business disciplines and techniques in partnering fintechs.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Brown held senior financial services advisory roles at EY and Kearney. He improved and managed transformation programmes and supported clients across the corporate lifecycle. Previously, Mr. Brown held operational and strategy roles at HBOS Bank (now part of Lloyds Banking Group), including leading new product development.
Mr. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Leeds and an MBA from the University of Bradford. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Mr. Brown has written extensively on digital financial services, open banking, and design-led transformation, and is the author of the strategy and change management book Corporate Plasticity.
