Mr. Johnson specializes in interim finance leadership assignments, transaction-based transformation, performance management improvement, operating model optimization and financial systems implementations. With 20 years of experience, including nine years in private equity working with Blackstone, TPG and Onex portfolio companies, he has worked with clients across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, gaming, energy and outsourcing.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Johnson was a senior manager with Deloitte Consulting, where he helped Fortune 100 CFO’s and finance executives address complex business issues from strategy and planning through to execution. He was a subject matter expert for record to report, financial planning and analysis, predictive analytics, performance management and operating model optimization.

Mr. Johnson’s notable experience includes serving as Interim CFO of a $2 billion biopharmaceutical company specializing in therapeutic monoclonal antibodies, for which he led the finance organization through significant transformation within the FP&A and financial systems space and supported the onboarding of the permanent CFO. He served as Global Vice President of Finance for an Onex portfolio contact center outsourcing company with over 150 contact centers in 25 countries, was the interim controller for the Americas and led the filing of the company’s first 10k. He also served as Director of Finance and Accounting for a TPG portfolio insurance holding company for which he led the month-end financial close process, the planning processes and was responsible for supporting the reporting needs of external reporting agencies. He was Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for a Blackstone portfolio company, a hospital-based clinical outsourcing company that managed over 600 hospitals, 7,000 physicians and $2 billion in revenues. Mr. Johnson led the financial planning processes and managed the financial evaluation and modeling related to mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in language and world business from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and an MBA from the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Active - Tennessee) and Chartered Global Managerial Accountant.
