With more than nine years of transaction related experience, Mr. Colwell specializes in leading buy- and sell-side financial accounting due diligence projects for both complex public and private company transactions. 

Mr. Colwell primarily focuses on serving private equity and strategic buyers in the healthcare services industry across a wide range of segments, including acute care hospitals, physician practice management, nurse staffing, home health, hospice, behavioral health, value-based care, revenue cycle management and specialty pharmacies.

Additionally, Mr. Colwell assists clients in analyzing transaction-related matters, including analysis of EBITDA and cash flow sustainability, review of purchase agreements, identification of business growth drivers and evaluation of working capital requirements. 

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Colwell worked in assurance services for Ernst & Young in Nashville, where he most recently served as a Senior Associate. He worked with clients in healthcare and manufacturing.

Mr. Colwell earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University and a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Tennessee. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Tennessee, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
