How Jit Lim

Mr. Lim has P&L experience leading Asia Pacific and China for multinational corporations including private equity held portfolio, to deliver turnarounds, business transformation and revenue growth. He has worked across a range of industries including commercial vehicle and automotive, industrial, aerospace, medical device, sub-micron machining, manufacturing and assembly operations.
Recently, Mr. Lim served as the Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a division of a private equity-owned $1 billion water filtration system company. He was responsible for leading turnaround efforts—he successfully revitalized the China business post labor strike event including installing a new management team, and improved performance before transition to the new leadership team. Mr. Lim improved on time delivery from 68 percent to 90 percent while reducing customer backlog by 80 percent (97 percent for top five customers) within two and a half months. He worked with labor union to restructure employee career progression and pay for performance compensation, reducing direct labor attrition rate from 50 percent to 15 percent. He also developed a transformation plan that reduced internal lead time by 60 percent and inventory by 50 percent.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Lim was Corporate Vice President/Managing Director and Head of Business Unit for Grab Inc., Omega Engineering, E Controls and Stanadyne. He was the first person on the ground to start up the China business for Stanadyne (Kohlberg and Company PE portfolio) from business feasibility study, green field factory, performance improvement achieving cash cow (30+ percent EBITDA) and productionize new breakthrough technology. He also turnaround and transformed E control Asia business to achieve market leader position in natural gas engine controls system.
Mr. Lim earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern Kellogg HKUST program. He is currently a board member and founding chairperson of Commercial Vehicle Supplier Roundtable Asia (HDBF Asia). A Malaysia national, Mr. Lim is fluent in English, Mandarin, Malay and Cantonese.
