Amy Lee

With 14 years of restructuring experience, Ms. Lee has worked with distressed and non-distressed companies across a wide range of industries including consumer products, retail, oil and gas, coal mining, publishing, not-for-profit education, financial services and healthcare.
Most recently, Ms. Lee advised Murray Energy Corporation, largest privately-owned coal company with operations in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Utah, and Colombia, South America. Murray entered Chapter 11 with prepetition obligations of $2.7 billion of funded debt and more than $8 billion of pension and employee benefit obligations.
Ms. Lee was responsible for the management of the overall restructuring process, development and management of the 13-week cash flow forecast, development of debtors’ business plan, and aided in the negotiation efforts with various creditor groups related to the company’s overall Chapter 11 exit strategy. The engagement was awarded Mega Company Turnaround/Transaction of the Year from the Turnaround Management Association
Ms. Lee’s other engagements include working with Revlon, Nine West Holdings, Inc., Penn Virginia, Patriot Coal, Cengage Learning, Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., New York City Department of Education, Antioch College and Sound Shore Medical Center. She was also awarded Transaction of the Year – Mega Company for her efforts on Patriot Coal in 2016.
Ms. Lee earned a dual bachelor’s degree in economics and statistics from Rutgers University.
