Michael Gale is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Services Performance Improvement in Los Angeles.

He specializes in pre-acquisition IT due diligence, post-acquisition integration, IT strategic planning, large-scale systems implementation and integration, and interim management.

With more than 20 years of business consulting and IT strategy and management experience, Mr. Gale has delivered technical business solutions in many diverse roles. He brings an extensive background in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of large-scale systems and related technology across a variety of industries, including software, media, manufacturing, and distribution.

Mr. Gale’s notable engagements include his services as interim IT Leader for a newly established film and television studio, interim CIO for a $100M medical device manufacturer and interim IT Leader for a $150M carve-out of a publicly traded hardware and software solutions company.
Additionally, Mr. Gale has served as IT Lead on the sell-side diligence of a $2B distributor of foodservice equipment and supplies and ERP Lead for a $250M carve-out of five learning and performance improvement companies, including the creation of a back-office shared services center and implementation of a common IT platform.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gale was the Director of IT, Enterprise Applications for a leading U.S.-based steel distribution company. In this role, he was responsible for building and managing an IT Applications team to support 1,100 employees. Previously, Mr. Gale was a Senior Manager and member of the Pacific Southwest Leadership Team with Hitachi Consulting where he focused on delivering large-scale ERP solutions.  Mr. Gale began his career with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting as a member of their Oracle Solutions Group.

Mr. Gale earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from The University of Arizona.
