Kevin Garvey

As Chief Operations Officer, Director and Vice President for world-class manufacturing businesses, he has developed and implemented numerous strategic transformations, restructuring projects and footprint rationalization activities. His work is characterised by strategic thinking, a strong operational focus and the ability to make and implement difficult decisions.
At A&M, Mr. Garvey has supported corporate and private equity clients on turnarounds, business transformations and operational restructuring. He has worked with companies across a range of sectors, including automotive operations and supply chain, pharmaceutical and life sciences, industrials and heavy industry, consumer products, aerospace, heavy machining and assembly and various component manufacturing and assembly operations.
Most recently at A&M, Mr. Garvey helped two major Industrial companies with detailed multi-site, Europe-wide operational diagnostics. This included analysis of the European footprint and supply chain, operational performance and warehousing and logistics; the projects concluded in delivery of a clear improvement strategy including operations rationalization. Mr. Garvey also led the successful implementation of multi-site operational improvement and transfer activities resulting in productivity and profitability improvements.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Garvey owned his own Lean Opex consultancy, which supported industries in transformation programmes. He held senior roles within the automotive sector. At Volkswagen, he was a Director of Production Operations and was responsible for supporting and developing the VW Group Production System globally. This involved developing the Lean Manufacturing techniques across 50+ sites, focusing on leadership development, operations productivity, lead-time improvements and supply chain development. Prior to that, Mr. Garvey worked with Toyota, serving most recently as Head of Manufacturing Operations in a U.K. plant.
Mr. Garvey earned a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing systems engineering from Liverpool John Moores University.
