Washington, D.C. - Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announces the addition of Michael Malarkey as a Managing Director in the firm’s Disputes & Investigations practice. In this role, Mr. Malarkey will develop and strengthen A&M’s strategic relationships with top U.S. and global law firms, as well as Fortune 500 general counsel.    

Mr. Malarkey has a significant track record of success working with attorneys and businesses on responding to matters of government regulatory scrutiny. He will leverage his expertise and vast network of contacts in key cities such as Washington, D.C., New York, Miami, London and Sao Paulo, benefitting A&M’s global client base.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Malarkey was a Partner at Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA) where he led the growth of the Washington, D.C. office along with strategic business development initiatives in the U.K. and Brazil. He has also held positions in forensic accounting and compliance at Berkeley Research Group (BRG), Navigant Consulting and Ernst and Young.

Mr. Malarkey serves on the Advisory Board of the Corporate Counsel Institute of the Georgetown University Law Center and earned a bachelor’s degree in applied economics and business management from Cornell University.
