Kurt Jonske is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Services practice and Global Transaction Analytics (GTA) group in New York. He specializes in buy-side, sell-side and value enhancement analytics.

With more than 18 years of experience, Mr. Jonske has deep expertise in various operational and management positions in the financial services industry, using data science to identify value-add opportunities across different lines of business and sectors.

Mr. Jonske’s notable assignments include: leading a data team to collect, clean and enrich data for the analysis of a large retailer undergoing a corporate transformation around cost takeout, revenue enhancement and supply chain optimization; conducting a social network analysis for a petroleum company undergoing relocation; creating a labor productivity model for a large hospital identifying staffing inefficiencies; optimizing course sequences for an accredited college; and assisting a large professional services firm with the forecasting and restructuring of partner compensation and retirement plans, as well as visualizing their global demographics and utilization.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Jonske was Chief Financial Officer and Investment Analyst for the Florida-based hedge fund, Indian Creek Asset Management, and Trading Manager for proprietary trading firm Archelon, LLC.

Mr. Jonske has partnered with the University of Chicago’s Financial Mathematics department and New York University’s Stern School of Business on numerous research projects, in which he evaluated activist investor performance and preferences for the energy sector, and created numerous proprietary databases of scraped data from public filings.

Mr. Jonske earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Chicago.
