John Held

His primary areas of concentration are APIs, ETL, event-based Integration, instrumentation of operational systems, real-time analytics, predictive analytics and the development of personalization systems.
With more than 20 years of consulting, product management and analytics experience, Mr. Held has helped define and launch commercial enterprise software products, developed technology strategy for global organizations and helped lead implementation projects for BI, predictive analytics and real-time systems. At A&M, he has focused on helping customers migrate from legacy technologies to distributed architectures and to develop instrumentation and analytics for software applications.
Notable assignments include assisting a large global-scale charitable foundation in creating a reference architecture program and assessing a leading SaaS company's technology architecture. Most recently, He was responsible for assisting a global charitable foundation in creating a reference architecture for application integration.
Mr. Held has worked with clients across various industries, including healthcare, retail, telecom, financial services, high-tech and e-commerce.
Before joining A&M, he worked for IBM Global Services Advanced Analytics and Optimization focusing on North American healthcare and telecom companies, most recently serving as a managing consultant. In this role, he helped define integration and architecture for a real-time recommendation system in support of a real-time recommendation engine for a major telecom's website and for banner-ad optimized bidding. In addition, Mr. Held applied a novel social network algorithm to telecom call data records to identify opportunities for leveraging social data in more effective customer service.
His prior experience includes senior product management roles for enterprise analytic applications such as IBM Modeler, a predictive analytics workbench; Zilliant, a science-driven price recommendation engine and SAVO, a social platform for sales collaboration.
Mr. Held earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Creighton University. He is a TOGAF-certified enterprise architect, holds a Penebaker certificate direct marketing analytics and is a CFA Level III candidate. He also holds Amazon Web Services technical and business accreditations.
