Richard Fleming

Mr. Fleming has worked across industries, including mining (coal, tungsten, gold, nickel and copper), retail and leisure, financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacturing, property, construction and oil and gas. Currently, he is the Administrator of NMC Health PLC in the U.K. and an operator of ~200 private hospitals in the UAE, a global IVF business and 36 subsidiaries in the UAE pursuant to the Abu Dhabi Global Market. Mr. Fleming is also the Administrator of the holding companies of Four Seasons Healthcare Group and the liquidator of Joannou & Paraskevvaides (Overseas) Limited.
Recently, Mr. Fleming served as the Administrator of ASA Resources Group Plc, overseeing the disposal of gold, nickel and copper mines and mining rights in Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of the Congo; acted as the administrator of MF Global and Leeds United FC; and led the restructuring of JJB Sports Plc and Blacks Leisure Plc, breaking new ground by taking these privately listed companies through company voluntary arrangements without any share suspension, paving the way for subsequent equity raises.
Additionally, Mr. Fleming has advised and acted as an administrator to retailers such as Threshers, Peacocks and La Senza; led the restructurings of Homebase, Fitness First, Travelodge and All Saints; and acted as Administrator to Lexi Holdings Plc, a case involving substantial complex mortgage fraud, asset-tracing and recovery across 15 jurisdictions. He has also recently been involved in a number of complex and cross-jurisdictional fund advisory engagements, which primarily involved fractious relationships between LPs and GPs, or challenged, distressed and tail-end funds.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Fleming led KPMG’s U.K. restructuring practice and the U.K. firm’s entire advisory offering, serving on its U.K. and global advisory boards.
Mr. Fleming earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Tasmania. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and R3. Mr. Fleming is also a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
