Matt Bryce is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement in San Antonio. He specializes in the leadership and management of strategic, transformational and mission-critical initiatives for private equity investors and their portfolio companies. Mr. Bryce brings deep experience in pre-acquisition diligence and planning and execution for start-ups, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

With more than 20 years of technology and consulting experience, Mr. Bryce has worked across numerous industries, including technology, technology-enabled services, retail and manufacturing. Mr. Bryce brings a unique background encompassing all areas of IT: infrastructure, operations, applications, software development, program/project management, finance and administration, strategy and planning, and research and development. In addition, Mr. Bryce has led a number of engagements focused on pre-acquisition due diligence, performance improvement/cost reduction, and post-merger integration and carve-out separation.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Bryce served as Vice President of Technology Services at Engauge Marketing, where he led delivery of web, database and software development projects for clients in the entertainment, consumer electronics, high tech and retail industries. He also served in various IT management and software development roles for several start-ups in Austin including Winternals Software (acquired by Microsoft) and Smart Technologies (acquired by I2). He started his career with Accenture.

Mr. Bryce earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITSM).
