Lauren Hill is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Valuation Services in Washington, D.C., specializing in the valuation of equipment and facilities for leasing and financing purposes. Her valuation assignments have been performed for: sale / leaseback transactions, tax leases and synthetic leases, project financing, purchase price allocation and transaction pricing. Premises of value for current values and residual values include: fair market value-in use or exchange, liquidation value (orderly or forced), and reproduction or replacement value.

With more than 28 years of valuation experience, Ms. Hill has experience valuing assets in a wide variety of industries, types of equipment and facilities with a concentration in energy-related assets. She has valued automobile manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing and renewable energy projects. Other equipment types valued include food and beverage and chemical processing plants; flour and ingredient mix mills; dairy; communications; television and radio broadcasting; textile and apparel plants; rubber, plastics and glass production; medical; construction; mining; intermodal; railroad; and trucking.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Hill spent more than four years with Mesirow Financial Consulting in New York, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President, managing the company's Structured Finance Valuation practice. Additional experience includes: one year as a Director with the Structured Finance Group of Navigant Capital Advisors, two years as a Managing Director with North American Operations of Lease Valuation International and six years as a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche Valuation. In these capacities she was responsible for managing and performing valuation projects for the leasing industry.

Ms. Hill also has 16 years of experience in the leasing industry, including nine years as Vice President, Equipment Manager at Crestar Leasing and Signet Leasing. She was responsible for residual and collateral evaluations and residual pricing. In addition, she managed the equipment portfolio, including sales and releasing of off-lease equipment.

Ms. Hill earned a bachelor's degree from University of Maryland, College Park. She is a current member of the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association Board of Directors. She is also a past chair and member of the Equipment Management Committee of the Association. Ms. Hill has spoken at a variety of renewable energy and finance industry conferences and has written articles for industry publications on solar projects, valuation issues and equipment management.
