Joe Sciametta

Mr. Sciametta has advised numerous clients in various stages of the restructuring process. His primary areas of expertise include business plan development and review, liquidity and working capital management and forecasting, Chapter 11 planning and vendor negotiations. Clients he has worked with include Centric Brands, Lucky’s Markets, Bristow Group, Philadelphia Energy Solutions, Remington, USA Discounters, Lehman Brothers, Aeropostale, Aleris International, SP Newsprint, Interstate Bakeries Corporation, Fedders, Bush Industries, National Equipment Services, United Airlines, Comdisco and Singer NV. Mr. Sciametta has advised clients on both advisory and interim management roles, including as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mr. Sciametta’s recent notable engagements at A&M include serving as CRO for Centric Brands during its Chapter 11 cases. Along with the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Sciametta led a transformation office that identified and executed operating and working capital improvements. His team also managed liquidity and developed a multi-year business plan. Prior to that, Mr. Sciametta designed and led a Project Management Office (PMO) for the Bristow Group that managed all areas of the group’s global restructuring and reported to the senior management team and board of directors.
In addition, Mr. Sciametta led an A&M team working with the management of Philadelphia Energy Solutions to oversee liquidity, to prepare for a Chapter 11 filing, and to develop a comprehensive liquidation analysis of the business. Mr. Sciametta also served as Treasurer at Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for managing cash and assets of up to $25 billion and calculating distributions to creditors in excess of $60 billion. During that process, he also managed an internal hedging program to forecast cash flow across the estate.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Sciametta worked with Arthur Anderson in its corporate restructuring group.
Mr. Sciametta earned a bachelor's degree and an MBA from Fairfield University. He is a non-active Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
