Jen Schar is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) in Dallas. She is also a member of the Executive Committee for CPI. She brings 20+ years of experience in the professional services industry (including five years in professional services operations and 15 years partnering with clients to lead large change management initiatives).

Currently, Ms. Schar leads the business capability function for CPI, including learning and development, performance management, marketing, and solution support functions. Though situated in the Texas market, she focuses her daily activities on the national operations for the CPI practice.

While serving clients at A&M, Ms. Schar developed and executed change management strategies for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business process improvements and technology solutions within the energy, consumer products, and foodservice industries.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Schar was the Global Manager of Change Management with LSG Sky Chefs—an international in-flight services firm based in Frankfurt, Germany and Irving, Texas. In this role, she devised cost reduction strategies and implemented an expense system. Previously, she was a Manager in the Change Management practices of Hitachi Consulting and Andersen Business Consulting.

Ms. Schar earned a bachelor's degree in human and organizational development, with a concentration in leadership, from Vanderbilt University.
