What's Your Moonshot? Podcast Series | Through Innovation, Collaboration and Partnership, SSM Health is Transforming Care for its Community

Through Innovation, Collaboration and Partnership, SSM Health is Transforming Care for its Community

SSM Health, a Catholic, not-for-profit health system serving communities across the Midwest, has recently taken a strategic and innovative approach to driving healthcare transformation. Laura S. Kaiser, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, sat down with A&M Healthcare Industry Group Co-Head and Managing Director, Peter Urbanowicz, and Managing Director, Keith Ghezzi, M.D., FACEP, to share her vision and leadership for enhancing the health of the communities that SSM Health serves.

Building on their significant history, SSM Health is leveraging collaboration and partnerships to transform care. With the onset of the pandemic and the severe impact felt by health systems, Ms. Kaiser has developed strategies to bridge all facets of healthcare to further deliver quality of care and increasingly improve community health. Recently, SSM Health has provided more than $450 million of care to benefit the community and hired a Chief Community Health Officer to further propel these efforts.

Leveraging and developing strategic partnerships to further enable SSM to transform care, has also been something Ms. Kaiser has been leading, as evident in their recently announced partnership with UnitedHealth Group and Optum.
