A licença maternidade, no Brasil, foi criada em em 1943, com o surgimento da Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho (CLT). Já a licença paternidade veio bem depois, apenas com a Constituição de 1988. De lá para cá a sociedade avançou e se reconhece a importância da presença paterna: “A intimidade criada com um bebê é a que se constrói no dia a dia, com os cuidados, por isso a participação dos pais ou cônjuges, nesse período, é muito importante para o vínculo”, explicou a psicóloga Desirée Cassado, professora na The School of Life.
