The Effect of COVID-19 on Supply Chain and Provider Operations

In late February, President Biden issued two executive orders (14001 and 14017) focused on creating “resilient, diverse, and secure supply chains” to ensure economic prosperity and national security. These executive orders were issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused major disruptions in manufacturing and supply chains, especially for critical medical products such as personal protective equipment (PPE).
