Cyber Resilience & the Evolving Cyber Threat Landscape

In 2022, the growing ransomware epidemic, sophisticated phishing campaigns, and cyberattacks targeted against industrial control systems have only emphasized the need to develop and maintain cyber resiliency practices. Industries managing critical infrastructure, such as oil & gas, are at heightened risk of cyberattacks resulting in significant and damaging disruption to their business operations.

At the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) & the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)’s 2022 Oil & Gas Conference, Managing Director and cybersecurity expert Rocco Grillo moderated a panel of experts including David Navetta, Partner at Cooley LLP, Patrick Ford, CISO of the Americas Region at Schneider Electric, and John Reaghart, Supervisory Special Agent of the FBI Denver Cyber Task Force. During the session, the panelists:

  1. Reviewed the latest cybersecurity risk landscape and critical infrastructure and operational technology ("OT") attacks
  2. Explored the latest cybersecurity regulatory and disclosure developments
  3. Provided best practices for increasing cyber resilience in the oil & gas industry
