A&M Tax Spain leaders, Ángel Calleja and Borja Escrivá de Romaní, will build a senior team to meet increasing demand for tax advisory services, particularly in the M&A market.

Madrid, 10^th October 2024 --  Alvarez & Marsal Tax (A&M Tax), an affiliate of global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has launched its tax practice in Spain. The hiring of Managing Directors Ángel Calleja and Borja Escrivá de Romaní marks another milestone in A&M Tax’s global expansion strategy, following the recent successful launches in the APAC region, Gulf, Canada, the US and Latin America.

Mr Calleja leads the new A&M Tax Spain practice. He brings more than 35 years of experience in complex M&A deals and restructuring transactions, having served as lead tax adviser for some of the largest Spanish and foreign multinationals. Mr Calleja joins from White & Case, where he served as Head of Tax in Madrid.

With more than 30 years of experience as a tax adviser, Mr Escrivá de Romaní joins as the Global Transaction Tax (GTT) lead in Spain. Specialising in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and corporate and financial restructuring for multinationals, he was most recently a partner at Deloitte, where he spent almost three decades.
