Alvarez & Marsal launches its M&A Tax business unit in Germany
The new business unit enhances the firm’s M&A service offering for clients in a vital growth market.
Munich, 15 June 2023 – Alvarez & Marsal Tax LLP (A&M Tax), an affiliate of leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), is expanding its service portfolio for M&A in the German market with the addition of a dedicated new business unit, M&A Tax. The launch of the business unit means A&M now covers the entire cycle of transaction related support, without the need for third-party providers.
A lot of A&M's international M&A transactions are linked to Germany, making its consulting experts’ cross-border know-how an advantage for clients. Providing expertise from day one, A&M’s tax team can complete even large transactions within a month. Beginning with six members, A&M plans to continue expansion of the M&A Tax business unit.
The new M&A Tax team
Clemens Petersen will lead A&M’s M&A Tax team in his position as a Managing Director. He brings more than 15 years of experience, having served as Director at PwC and Partner at Deloitte Germany. His focus is on complex tax matters, in particular transactions, refinancing and restructuring.
Petersen‘s team of M&A tax experts count on years of industry experience, selected for their ability to offer clients a holistic service offering.
