Alvarez & Marsal Expands Asia Restructuring Team with Two Senior Appointments
Hong Kong – Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has expanded its Asia Restructuring team with the appointment of Tiffany Wong and Kitty Yeung as Managing Director and Senior Director respectively in Hong Kong. Individually, Ms. Wong and Ms. Yeung bring two decades of expertise in corporate restructuring and insolvency, demonstrating A&M’s commitment to enhancing its capability in these lines of service in Asia and maximizing value for clients across the region.
Ms. Wong has extensive experience in corporate insolvency and dispute resolution in Mainland China and the Hong Kong SAR. Prior to joining A&M, she was a Partner & Head of Insolvency at KPMG China. She has significant expertise in combining international restructuring regimes with local Chinese regulations and processes, and advising clients on challenging cross-border issues. Ms. Wong acts as court office holder of insolvent estates and estates of mentally incapacitated and deceased individuals. Additionally, she is a board member of INSOL International and a member of The International Insolvency Institute.
Ms. Yeung has in-depth knowledge of and experience advising clients on domestic and cross-border restructuring. Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Yeung was an Associate Partner at EY. She holds the distinction of being designated as a Panel A Appointment Taker and Insolvency Practitioner by the Hong Kong Official Receiver’s Office for court winding-up cases.
“A&M is growing in Asia. The firm’s unique platform and heritage of operational excellence, which aligns with our restructuring and insolvency experience, further enhances our ability to help clients address turnaround challenges,” said Ms. Wong.
“Tiffany and Kitty are leaders in their field and their appointment reinforces our restructuring bench strength,” said Ron Thompson, Managing Director of A&M Asia and Head of Asia’s Restructuring Practice. “Currently, China is experiencing a steady flow of corporate distress. Tiffany’s and Kitty’s appointment bolsters A&M’s unique ability to best meet market needs with an integrated offering for domestic and cross-border projects across jurisdictions on a global basis.”
