On December 9, 2010, DB Media Distribution Inc., DB Media Distribution (Canada) (formerly "The Columbia House Company (Canada)") and their related partners (hereafter referred to collectively as "DB Media") were assigned into bankruptcy in Canada. Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. ("A&M Canada") was appointed Trustee in Bankruptcy ("Trustee") of DB Media's estate.

 

As a consequence of the bankruptcy, DB Media will not be fulfilling any customer orders through its book and DVD clubs as of December 9, 2010 as the Canadian operations have ceased. The Trustee is in the process of liquidating the assets. The bankruptcy of the Canadian operations was taken in response to poor economic conditions.

 

Should you have a claim against DB Media as at December 9, 2010, you are required to file a proof of claim form with the Trustee in accordance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada). A proof of claim form was previously sent to creditors with amounts owing, according to DB Media's books and records of $100 or more by the Trustee with the Notice of Bankruptcy and First Meeting of Creditors.
