In her full Q&A, Savanna further reflects on how A&M’s client focus, supportive culture and collaborative internship confirmed it was the right fit, leading her to return full time and thrive in an environment that values growth, teamwork and exceptional results.

Why A&M?

What drew you to intern at A&M, and what inspired your decision to return full-time?

Even before interviewing for my internship, I was impressed by what I learned about A&M and its reputation for exceptional client service. When the interview process began, it stood out as the most welcoming experience I had, the interviewers were approachable, genuine, and truly interested in bringing me onto the team. During my internship, that impression only deepened. Every interaction confirmed that A&M was a place where I would be supported and pushed to grow.

Mentorship and Learning

Can you share a moment where feedback or coaching at A&M helped you grow?

There have been several times when a team member paused their busy day to walk me through a concept I was struggling with, even when it wasn’t directly tied to the project at hand. That willingness to invest time in my learning has been invaluable.

I’ve also benefited from detailed feedback on my work. While it would be quicker for colleagues to make edits themselves, they take the time to guide me through improvements and let me apply the changes. That approach has accelerated my growth and given me greater confidence in my work.

Team Collaboration and a Supportive Work Environment

How would you describe the culture of your local office or team?

I’d describe our culture as collaborative and committed. We put in the effort to deliver strong work for our clients, stay open to learning new skills and support each other along the way. Outside of projects, we also enjoy spending time together, which strengthens our connection as a team. This mix of professionalism and camaraderie creates a culture where people want to contribute and grow.

Building an Inclusive Workplace Across Locations

How does A&M’s core value of Inclusive Diversity resonate with you, and how have you seen it reflected in your work or team culture?

A&M’s culture is enriched by different perspectives. Although I’m based in Houston, I work closely with colleagues in California, New York and India, learning from their unique strengths. Our clients also come from a wide range of industries, which ensures every project brings fresh ideas and opportunities to expand my knowledge.

Outside Interests and Work-Life Balance

What hobby or interest outside of work energizes you?

I love watching Formula 1. I look forward to qualifying sessions and races each weekend, and it’s become a fun way to connect with my family across time zones. It’s also been a great conversation starter with colleagues at A&M who share the same passion.
