Why A&M?
What drew you to intern at A&M and what inspired your decision to return full-time?
I was immediately drawn to A&M’s dynamic culture, which can be rare in accounting. It has a strong reputation across markets made it clear I’d be working with top colleagues I could learn from. From my first interactions with the recruiting team to my internship on live deals, I knew A&M was where I wanted to begin my career and was certain I’d return full-time if given the chance.
Mentorship at A&M: Learning from the Best
Who have been some of your most impactful mentors at A&M, and what have you learned from them?
I’ve been fortunate to have many impactful mentors at A&M through both the formal program and my work with managers and deal leads. From real-time deal guidance to career development and work-life balance advice, their feedback has given me diverse perspectives that help me deliver high-quality work and continue growing in my career.
Nashville Office Culture: High Performance Meets True Connection
How would you describe the culture of your local office or team?
The Nashville office is a small, tight-knit group that balances high performance with a relaxed, fun culture. The size makes it easy to form close relationships, and I know I can turn to anyone for advice, even outside my deals. Many colleagues have also become true friends, which has been one of the most rewarding parts of my A&M experience.
Living the Core Values: Fun
How does A&M’s core value of Fun resonate with you, and how have you seen it reflected in your work or team culture?
Fun at A&M comes in many forms. The work is fast-paced and every deal is different, which keeps things exciting. My teams make a point of keeping the mood light, whether it’s a friendly sports debate in the office, taking a quick break to recharge, or connecting with coworkers at team socials. These moments have made my experience here both enjoyable and memorable.
Balancing Work and Play
What hobby or interest outside of work energizes you?
I enjoy early-morning workouts, a routine I started in college that helps me clear my head and stay energized for the day. While my sports playing days are mostly behind me, aside from the occasional pickleball game, I still love watching and talking sports with friends and family. Thanks to the close culture of the Nashville office, I’ve been able to share these interests with colleagues too, blurring the line between work and personal time in the best way.
