Effective January 31, 2014, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta (the “Court”) granted an Order (the “Receivership Order”) whereby Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. (“A&M”) was appointed receiver and manager (the “Receiver”) of Atikwa Resources Inc. (referred to as “Atikwa”).   Atikwa is a publicly traded oil and gas company which has operating assets and working interests in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.   Atikwa’s principal assets are located in the Spearfish formation in southern Manitoba and the Bakken formation in Roncott, which is in southern Saskatchewan.

Pursuant to the Receivership Order, the Receiver is appointed, without security, of all of Atikwa’s current and future assets, undertakings and properties of every nature and kind whatsoever, and wherever situated, including all proceeds thereof.
