On December 16, 2022, Great Panther Mining Limited filed an assignment in bankruptcy pursuant to s.49 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. was appointed trustee of the bankrupt estate.

October 4, 2022

On October 4, 2022, the Company was granted an initial order (the “Initial Order”) to convert its proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada)  into a proceedings (the “CCAA Proceedings”) under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-36, as amended (the “CCAA”). Pursuant to the Initial Order, Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. was appointed as monitor (the “Monitor” or “A&M”) in the CCAA Proceedings.

The Initial Order granted a stay of proceedings until October 14, 2022 (the “Stay Period”) and provided that the during the Stay Period, no proceedings may be commenced against or in respect of the Company.

September 6, 2022

On September 6, 2022, Great Panther Mining Limited (the “Company”) filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal pursuant to section 50.4(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) and Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. was named as the Proposal Trustee.
