Zachary Voll
Mr. Voll’s notable assignments include serving a major life-sciences technology company as its Head of Transformation. He partnered with the Chief Strategy Officer to test, validate, and challenge assumptions about the company’s long-term strategy and growth plan. He was also Interim Treasurer for a major Turkish telecom software and hardware provider. In this capacity, Mr. Voll was responsible for all day-to-day management of the treasury team and treasury-related activities. He also established the use of a new loan facility and implemented a previously nonexistent foreign exchange hedging program.
Mr. Voll developed a business, integration, and performance improvement plan for a large (revenue of €2.5+ billion) shipbuilding company based in the Netherlands. The company looked to consolidate two underperforming divisions, reduce overhead costs, and implement other turnaround initiatives. Mr. Voll carried out root-cause analysis into underperformance, a shipyard and engineering team capacity analysis, and the development of a dynamic three-statement operational business plan model. The analysis resulted in headcount reduction across multiple operating segments, footprint rationalization, discontinuation of loss-making vessel types, and improvement of governance structures and processes to assist in project pricing and bidding.
Mr. Voll’s other notable work includes assisting the refinancing process of a global metals business by challenging the drivers/assumptions of an internally developed business plan to ensure a smooth diligence process. He also supported a global commodity chemicals business through operational and liquidity challenges during a Chapter 11 restructuring process.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Voll worked for Australian investment and advisory firm KordaMentha, completing a range of high-profile and confidential projects across a variety of sectors.
Mr. Voll earned a BCom (accounting and finance) from the University of Queensland. He is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
