Zachary Joosten
With more than 12 years of experience, Mr. Joosten has consistently supported accounting and financial reporting for clients across various industries, including technology, healthcare, manufacturing, federal government, construction, professional services, and energy. He helps companies capture complex accounting matters in their internal and external reporting on a timely basis, while also ensuring that they can operationalize and optimize changes to their accounting, financial reporting, and other processes.
Mr. Joosten’s notable assignments include: restating financial statements for a multibillion-dollar auto part manufacturer; assisting US government-sponsored entities with evaluation of accounting, financial reporting, and tax impacts for potential equity issuances; and helping a private equity–backed company with process improvement, audit readiness, technical accounting analyses, lender reporting, diligence, and a variety of other accounting and operational matters, including working with stakeholders across the business to roll out an Alteryx workflow to support the company’s accrual processes. Further, Mr. Joosten worked as interim Chief Accounting Officer for a private equity–backed company serving community banks. In this role, he managed a team of eight, leading operational and accounting improvements, accounting close timeline reduction, completion of the company’s audit, and preparation efforts for a capital market transaction.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Joosten spent seven years with RSM’s Financial Consulting practice in Chicago.
Mr. Joosten earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Boston College. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Illinois, a CFA® Charterholder, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
