Yalda Louboutin is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Infrastructure and Capital Projects in Amsterdam. She specializes in managing high-stakes client relationships and leading complex technical due diligence transactions.

With more than 17 years of energy experience, Ms. Louboutin has expertise in turning complex challenges into business opportunities, securing repeat clients, and fostering long-term partnerships. Her collaborative approach and strategic guidance have contributed to the successful execution of major energy deals, providing clients with valuable insights to support well-informed investment decisions.

Ms. Louboutin focuses on clients in the oil and gas, chemicals, and energy industries. Her primary areas of concentration are business development and sales, client relations, technical due diligence, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital and operating expenditures evaluations, risk assessments, health and safety evaluations, and environmental, social, and governance standards.

Ms. Louboutin’s notable assignments include supporting Aramco’s divestment of the HD Hyundai Oil Bank Company in South Korea ($2.6 billion); Shell’s $500+ million asset sale, including offshore platforms, gas pipelines, and storage terminals; and due diligence for numerous buyers and sellers in the energy sector across midstream, downstream, and storage stages. 

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Louboutin worked for two and a half years at AFRY Management Consulting, building the U.K. transaction team. She successfully managed high-profile deals involving large-scale gas networks, storage terminals, and energy assets across Europe and the Middle East. Ms. Louboutin also served as Head of Transaction Advisory for the oil and gas sector at Det Norske Veritas, where she led the technical and environmental due diligence team for M&A transactions for clients in the oil and gas sector. Overseeing cross-functional teams, she advised investors on buy-side and sell-side transactions. 

Ms. Louboutin earned a bachelor’s degree in petrochemical engineering from the Polytechnic (Amir Kabir) University of Technology in Tehran, a master’s degree in gas engineering and management from the University of Salford, U.K., and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. She also holds qualifications for M&A from Imperial College Business School, U.K. and business sustainability management from the University of Cambridge.
