Yago Fernandez Perez

Mr. Fernández brings more than 17 years of audit, transaction advisory, restructuring and debt advisory experience and specializes in advising distressed companies, lenders and creditors. Mr. Fernandez has worked with clients across various industries, including manufacturing, retail, automotive and transportation.
Mr. Fernández’s notable engagements include leading the financial and operational review of the carve-out of the European automotive glass division of Guardian Automotive. He led the debt raising for the development of several real estate projects in Spain, working with both banks and direct lending funds; and the debt for the construction of the Sea Cloud Spirit, one of the world’s biggest sailing vessels. Mr. Fernández works primarily in Spain and has spent significant time on projects in Colombia, Austria and Eastern Europe. He has spoken at IESE and ESADE business schools.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Fernandez worked for seven years with EY, where he co-founded the Restructuring practice for EY Spain. He led and coordinated creditor and debtor restructurings in multiple sectors, along with the debt advisory and distress M&A processes. Mr. Fernández built the team in Barcelona and led the Automotive and Transportation sector in Transaction Advisory Services. Prior to that, Mr. Fernández served for nine years with PwC, working in audit, Transaction Advisory and Restructuring.
Mr. Fernández earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
