Syed Feizal Syed Mohammad

With more than 37 years of leadership and operational experience, he has served as group CEO, board director, and executive project sponsor across multinationals, local conglomerates, and government-linked companies. Mr. Feizal’s primary areas of concentration are strategy execution, operational excellence, sustainability, and corporate governance across various industries. His expertise spans oil and gas, petrochemicals, food and agricultural commodities, infrastructure, logistics, and renewable energy. Mr. Feizal is recognized for his ability to drive organizational transformation, embed ESG and innovation practices, and deliver sustainable growth in complex market landscapes.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Feizal served as Group CEO of MSM Malaysia Holdings Berhad, one of the top seven sugar producers globally. He successfully transformed the company’s operations, strengthened governance and sustainability practices, and expanded exports to more than 20 countries. He also doubled market capitalization, drove refinery efficiencies, and positioned the company in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (F4GBM) Index.
Before that, Mr. Feizal held senior leadership roles at MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd, where he spearheaded infrastructure and power projects, and at Technip Energies Malaysia, where he oversaw multi-billion-dollar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects across Asia–Pacific and led strategic investments, global M&A initiatives, and iconic energy and infrastructure projects.
Mr. Feizal earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, an MBA from Charles Sturt University, New South Wales, and a certificate in climate finance from the CFA Institute. He is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM), serves as an adjunct professor, and actively advocates for climate action, ESG leadership, and gender equality through the CEO Action Network and the 30% Club Malaysia.
