Stephen Moore

With more than 20 years of expertise, Mr. Moore helps boards and management teams effect strategic operational and financial change to maximize stakeholder value. He spent four years as Principal, Operator and Lender in distressed investment and 12 years as Advisor.
Mr. Moore’s notable experience includes working with an insurance services provider (private, disaster restoration) to improve performance across business functions, resulting in liquidity and profitability gains and subsequent refinancing transactions; helping an industrial products manufacturer (private) with procure-to-pay process redesign, system implementation and development of working capital enhancements across global operations; and serving as Advisor to an international oil and gas drilling operator (public), developing its business plan and projecting debt capacity for successful restructuring transactions under Chapter 11 proceedings.
Additionally, Mr. Moore led a strategic options assessment and identification of performance improvement levers across subsidiaries to secure ongoing parent funding for a transportation services provider (private) and developed a global organizational redesign and a strategic options assessment for a non-core business unit for an engineering and construction firm (public).
Prior to rejoining A&M, Mr. Moore led the Canadian arm of a London-based distressed investment firm. As Principal and board member, he steered investments through the full deal cycle: acquisition, financing and exit transactions. He led management through financial stabilization, operational transformation and revenue growth processes and acted as interim Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he was in deals advisory with a Big Four firm.
Mr. Moore earned a bachelor’s degree (first-class honors) in international management from the University of Bath, U.K. He is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant, Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales fellow, Chartered Restructuring Professional and Licensed Insolvency Trustee. A Canadian and British national, Mr. Moore is fluent in French.
