Sinan Ozman
With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Ozman has founded, led, and sold M&A boutiques. He has served on the boards of various companies, banks, and conglomerates and has held senior roles in key committees of international banks and investment groups. He has also co-founded a technology-focused venture capital fund in Turkey, which gave him a thorough understanding of the fundraising landscape of technology companies.
Mr. Ozman’s notable achievements include playing a leading role in over 500 mandates and completing more than 50 M&A transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $15 billion. He has worked with clients across a wide variety of industries, with some focus on telecommunications, technology, financial services, energy, logistics, industrials, and food and beverage.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Ozman established the second generation of Ozman & Co. in Istanbul. In his third boutique, he leveraged his profound M&A experience—coupled with his innovative venture capital perspective—to build a diverse deal pipeline by employing a barbell strategy, where his clients were evenly split between conventional industries and fast-growing technology companies. By adapting his firm’s operating model to the rapidly changing dynamics of the business world, he was able to swiftly acquire numerous mandates from clients in Central Asia, Europe, and Turkey.
Mr. Ozman’s first boutique served as the exclusive sell-side advisor on the landmark $6.5 billion privatization of Türk Telekom, the largest M&A and privatization transaction in Turkey to date. Two of the boutiques he founded —PDF Corporate Finance and Ozman & Co.— were successfully acquired by Dubai Group and Mediobanca respectively. He served as CEO of the Turkish investment banking operations of Dubai Group for three years and Mediobanca for seven years.
Mr. Ozman earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) and an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management. A Turkish national, Mr. Ozman is fluent in Turkish and English.
